LA OCULTA is more than a fashion brand; it is a journey through the cultural crossroads of Colombia and Africa. Rooted in a rich family heritage, the brand was born from a passion for fashion passed down through generations. At its heart is Stella, mother and grandmother of founders Catalina and Sofía, whose legacy of over 50 years in the art of tailoring is carefully woven into every piece. Founded in November 2022, LA OCULTA stands with one foot in Kenya and the other in Colombia—just like its creators who live between these vibrant cultural hubs. What began as a shared hobby during the pandemic soon evolved into an ambitious, globally minded project. In 2024, LA OCULTA made its debut at fashion fairs in Nairobi and Bogotá, later expanding into multi-brand stores across Colombia, New York, California, Kenya, Tanzania, and Singapore. That same year, the brand was selected to participate in Nairobi Fashion Week, closing the runway to outstanding recognition, and soon after opened its first physical store in Nairobi to remarkable success. Today, LA OCULTA continues to grow with purpose, using fashion as a bridge to connect people, honor cultural heritage, and tell stories—one garment at a time.
